Cannes World Film Festival (07.03.2025)

"Overall, this is a fun story. The script is written with love and passion, and we get to have a fun time as we follow Ricky, Danny, and Peter on their wild adventure – and it is quite wild! One of the

biggest strengths of the script is how many crazy ideas it has, from shifting from a real-life action piece to an animated adventure as the three friends find themselves back in 1984, to meeting their

younger versions, to have a talking dog, to deal with a band of bikers whose leader is obsessed with recovering a stuffed panda (in which a bunch of diamonds are hidden), to be confronted by a

criminal mastermind.

It is a lot! And it can work because, well, this is just about over-the-top silly fun.

So, it feels like the unexpected hybrid between Hot Tub Time Machine and Every Which Way But Loose, and that’s a fresh concept."
