Find out who the main characters are in the screenplay for Inside Reach.
Jack Corral
An average guy, Jack [25] is amiable, hard working and settled in his role as an exhibition co-ordinator at the local museum.

The death of his parents has left a certain vulnerability and lack of self-confidence in his character, but he is well-meaning, honest and likeable, reflected in a colleague inviting him to a bar to watch a football match.

He instantly falls in love with Amy and despite the reservations of some of his flatmates, he portrays a desire that he is looking for something else, away from the confines of his environment.

This is amplified when he rejects the medication he is required to take to combat injuries he suffered in the car crash, to prove he can live a normal life.

But it is his determination to rail against the antagonists that surround him that reveals his inner strength.
Amy Lee
Amy [26] is the opposite to Jack. A successful artist, she has her own apartment and travels abroad for her exhibitions. With close friends who are similarly successful, she possesses the confidence to invite Jack to stay the night on their first date.

But she is also caring and empathises with Jack when he tells her of his past. This is further emphasised when she informs him of her need to look after her mother rather than invite Jack back to her apartment after a subsequent night out with her friends.

The conclusion of the story, when all is revealed, confirms her love for him when Jack packs some belongings to move into her apartment.
Annette
This 26 year old, as her name suggests, is the net that draws Jack towards a dark path of paranoia and suspicion.

A photographer, she spends much of her time in the Darkroom of the apartment developing her film while slowly pulling the other flatmates into her domain. Confrontational and suspicious, she sees Amy as a threat to the continuity of their communal life.
Lizzy
She is a happy-go-lucky individual who only sees the best in people. A follower of yoga and meditation, Lizzy is the go-to flatmate for Jack who he can trust to confide in his feelings and thoughts.

A calming figure, it is this flatmate who resolves disagreements while illustrating her trustworthiness when she doesn’t reveal Jack’s secret to the others.

Her belief and friendship in Jack is ultimately highlighted in the climax as she attempts to stop the confrontation between her flatmate and Gerrat Tensh and the possible end to Jack’s life.
Rees
A fitness instructor, Rees strengths lie on the physical spectrum rather than the intellect. Life is to be enjoyed and meeting girls is probably his most favourite pastime.

He is easily led and wont put up much of an argument. At the same time he isn’t one to fight a cause, as is revealed during an argument when he privately admits to agreeing with Jack but wasn’t prepared to publicly back him at the time.
Simon
Educated, thoughtful and very middle-class, Simon thinks by applying logic. He is the antithesis of Rees.

He spends his time reading books and only occasionally will he involve himself in disagreements, preferring to wait till he is alone with Jack to offer an opinion.

Timid and reserved but he is ultimately persuaded by Annette to see life through her prism.
KP
In his fifties, KP is a straight-down-the-middle agent out to protect Amy. It is his job to persuade Jack of the need to be involved in saving her from the shadowy Gerrat Tensh.

In reality, he is an extension of Jack and his desire to maintain a relationship with Amy.

His moniker is the initials of Kim Philby.
Gerrat Tensh
An Assasin, he is out to murder Amy. A dark shadowy figure, he is not revealed until the climax but Jack is aware of his threat.
Antagonist and opponent to KP, he slowly begins to appear as visions to Jack in the apartment but only in shadow form.

From within the Darkroom, he manipulates the flatmates one by one before the final confrontation with Jack in a survival/sanity climax.

He is an extension of Jack that does not want to progress any relationship with Amy.

His name is an anagram of The Stranger.
Brendan Clements
A reporter for RTV, Brendan is perceptive and dogged in his search to discover Jack, The Angel Catcher. Like a good journalist, his suspicions are aroused by Jack’s behaviour when they first meet which initiates him to delve further into his background despite his colleague’s advice to drop the story.

But there is a humanity and understanding in his persona as he accepts Jack’s need for anonymity and, later, accepting Jack’s evaluation that the reporter has no right intruding into his private life.
