A psychological thriller, it follows the main character, Jack Corral, who having survived a fatal car crash that kills his parents, he builds a successful career and shares an apartment with four others (Annette, Lizzy, Rees and Simon) of varying character.

When meeting and falling in love with Amy Lee, tension builds among the flatmates who see Amy as a threat to their way of life, instigated by photographer Annette who has a darkroom in the apartment for her work. As the story progresses, each of the characters are drawn into this room, except for Jack, who finds himself alienated from the others.    

                                                                                       

Meanwhile, having rescued a child from a burning tenement, Jack is approached by RTV reporter Brendan Clements to give an interview but requesting anonymity, the reporter's suspicions are aroused.

Into the mix appears a government agent, with the moniker KP,  who informs him that Amy is working for them and her life is in danger by assassin Garret Tensh, requiring Jack to involve himself in her rescue.

The story reveals that Jack's world is not as it seems, threatening his life and his sanity.
